Rikutsu-Kone-Taro‘s beloved GR Yaris RZHP completed its first vehicle inspection on a certain day in November 2023. I, Rikutsu-Kone-Taro, believe the mileage was around 17,700 kilometers. The customizations I made from delivery until this inspection are as follows:
- Installed CAE Quick Shifter (details “here“).
- Clutch Stopper (details “here“).
- Full bucket seats (details “here“).
- Installed Cusco shock & spring & rear arm, power brace. (refer to photos on this page)
- Integrated Toyota side bar with roll cage. (refer to photos on this page)
- Flip-up steering wheel boss (details “here“).
- Aftermarket steering wheel. Refer to photos on this page.
- Three-seater configuration after removing the passenger seat (details “here“).
- Slight external modifications without dimensional changes (details “here“).
All of these were obtained during the inspection.
Due to the removal of the passenger seat and rear suspension arm exchange, structural modification procedures were necessary, so I carried out the work and procedures in line with the inspection timing.
The CAE Quick Shifter (related page within this site “here“) seemed to pass the inspection without any issues. (I think there might be differences depending on the interpretation and operation of the inspection site or inspector, so it’s possible that it may not pass in other inspection sites or the next inspection…)
As usual, I entrusted all the work and procedures to GRGarage Kitaikebukuro.
It seems to have been quite a rare case, and despite the additional effort required until approval from the Land Transport Bureau, the car turned out exactly as “Rikutsu Kone Taro” wanted, so I am very happy.
I can’t thank GRGarage Kitaikebukuro enough.
All the customizations I’ve made to my beloved car have been aimed at optimizing the driving position, improving safety, brushing up the suspension, and just making it look a little cooler.
The performance of the GR Yaris RZHP in stock condition is already more than sufficient for Rikutsu-Kone-Taro. It’s fast and highly refined.
To truly appreciate the deliciousness of this wonderfully fast drivetrain, improvements to the user interface are necessary, and experimenting with wheel alignment and damping adjustments is bound to be enjoyable.
From now on, I plan to enjoy the optimized performance of the GR Yaris on the usual winding roads while adjusting the wheel alignment and dampers.
That’s all for this time.
