OM-1 is a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera based on the Micro Four Thirds standard, released by OM Digital Solutions on March 18, 2022.
This camera shares the same name as a compact high-performance single-lens reflex film camera released by Olympus in July 1972, exactly 50 years before the present (November 2022). The new OM-1 is a flagship model reconstructed with modern technology from OM Digital Solutions (formerly Olympus).
Similar to its predecessors from Olympus, the new OM-1 is incredibly stylish. For ordinary photography enthusiasts, it offers more than enough functionality to serve as a camera for recording daily life. It features high-performance computational photography, compact and lightweight design, weather-sealing, dust resistance, and image stabilization, making it a reliable tool for creators who pour passion and artistic expression into their photos.
The contemporary OM-1 has been acquired by “Rikutsu Kone Taro” as a new toy. The following are records of insights gained while playing with this toy.
